Our first Thanksgiving Cooking Aboard Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we hope you enjoy pictures from our first Thanksgiving cooking aboard. As a change this year, Shannon and I avoided the roadways and, instead, shared our first Thanksgiving aboard Banjo. Although it was tough not being able to visit family and friends, we rested and enjoyed some down-time. Also, we shared dinner with the other boaters which turned out to be a grand and delicious event. We also took a few minutes to take our first thanksgiving…

Food, drink and lodging are three of our favorite things. As we travel and continue our adventure, we want to share honest reviews of places we visit. Too often, finding the best food or lodging requires a knowledge of the destination. When visiting a new place, this information may not be readily available.
Whenever we visit a new place, we immediately begin asking natives questions about what they enjoy in food, drink and lodging. Our favorite places are sometimes the little “hole in the wall” establishments known mostly to locals.
The Reviews
We crave authenticity and value. We expect good service and aspire to locate some of the best places for food, drink and lodging. It is our sincere hope that our reviews will provide our readers with an accounting of what we experienced, and when we experienced it.
Our plan is simple:
- Do our best to not alert an establishment that they are being reviewed. This relieves undo pressure for both the establishment and for us while we review.
- Provide an unbiased and genuine review of our experience
- Document the date and time of our arrival and other useful information, such as how long till we were seated. Other items in the review might

As a result, even though I still had a bunch of work to do, we decided to take a break and have some fun. Approximately 30-40 people…

Shannon’s New Boat Drink, Whipped Chata Butter Shannon is notorious for creating new boat drinks. This time she invented, yet another, new boat drink which was REALLY good. We nicknamed Shannon’s New Boat Drink, Whipped Chata Butter. First of all, it is equal parts Whipped Vodka, Rum Chata and Buttershots. But most of all, the drinks were dangerously delicious and easy to lose count of the number of shots consumed!!! As always, please consume adult beverages responsibly and in moderation.
